Ingredients

1 cup hazelnuts (toasted, skin removed)

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (at least 70% cocoa)

1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)

1/4 cup powdered sugar (or to taste)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/8 tsp sea salt

Optional: Fresh fruits (strawberries, apple slices), pretzels, or graham crackers for dipping

Instructions

Toast the Hazelnuts: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread hazelnuts evenly on a baking sheet and toast for 10-12 minutes until golden. Let cool, then rub them in a clean kitchen towel to remove most of the skins.

Melt the Chocolate: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate chips and melted coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.

Blend the Hazelnuts: In a food processor, add the toasted hazelnuts and blend for about 3-5 minutes until they turn into a smooth nut butter. You may need to scrape down the sides occasionally.

Combine Ingredients: Once the hazelnuts are smooth, add the melted chocolate mixture, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the food processor. Blend until all the ingredients are fully incorporated and creamy.

Taste and Adjust: Give your dip a taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more powdered sugar. Blend again briefly to mix.

Serve: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, and it's ready to enjoy! Serve with fresh fruits, pretzels, or graham crackers for dipping.

Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. If the dip thickens, stir in a little more coconut oil or a splash of milk to loosen it.
