Spicy Baked Chicken Lettuce Wraps

1 lb ground chicken

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

2 teaspoons sriracha (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 bell pepper, finely chopped (any color)

1 small carrot, finely grated

3 green onions, sliced

1/4 cup water chestnuts, chopped

1 head of butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, honey, ginger, garlic, bell pepper, carrot, green onions, and water chestnuts. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

      Season: Taste the mixture and add salt and pepper as needed.

        Shape the Mixture: Using your hands, form small patties or balls from the chicken mixture. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring there's a little space between each.

          Bake: Bake the chicken patties in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and the tops are slightly crispy. Flip halfway through baking for even cooking.

            Assemble the Wraps: While the chicken is baking, prepare the lettuce leaves by washing and patting them dry. Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes.

              Fill & Serve: Place a chicken patty into each lettuce leaf and top with additional green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately, allowing everyone to make their own wraps.
