Ingredients

12 slider buns (preferably Hawaiian style)

1 pound sliced honey-baked ham

12 slices Swiss cheese

1 stick unsalted butter (melted)

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon poppy seeds

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the baking dish: Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or a bit of butter to prevent sticking.

Assemble the sliders: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the top halves attached. Place the bottom halves of the buns in the greased baking dish. Layer half of the sliced ham evenly over the buns, followed by a slice of Swiss cheese on each. Add the remaining ham, and then top with another slice of Swiss cheese. Finally, place the top halves of the buns back on.

Make the sauce: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

Spread the sauce: Pour the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the assembled sliders, ensuring they are well coated. Use a brush if necessary to spread it evenly.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil (to prevent browning) and transfer to the preheated oven. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Garnish and serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes. If desired, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the sliders for a burst of color. Cut into individual sliders and serve warm.
