1 cup pure pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.

    Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.

      Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.

        Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredient mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps.
