1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (or dairy-free chocolate chips)

1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts, optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, cocoa powder, and salt. If you're adding shredded coconut and nuts, toss them in as well.

      Blend Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined. You can use a microwave for about 20-30 seconds to soften the almond butter if needed.

        Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir well until everything is fully incorporated and you have a thick, sticky mixture.

          Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
