Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 bell pepper (red or green), finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 packet taco seasoning

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)

1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

1/2 cup sour cream (for serving)

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, avocado

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened (about 3-4 minutes). Add the minced garlic and ground chicken, cooking until the chicken is no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spatula.

Season it Up: Stir in the taco seasoning and chicken broth. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the mixture to thicken. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted and well combined. Let it cool slightly.

Shape the Rings: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, unroll the crescent roll dough. Follow the perforations to separate the triangles. Arrange them in a circle, overlapping the wide ends to form a ring.

Fill the Ring: Spoon the chicken mixture into the center of the crescent ring. Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling, tucking them under the dough to secure. Brush the tops lightly with oil or melted butter for a golden finish.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Once out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes. Slice the crescent ring into wedges and serve warm with sour cream and optional toppings like fresh cilantro, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, or avocado.
