Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef (preferably 80/20 for optimal flavor)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 large avocado, diced

½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved

¼ cup pickles, diced

½ cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 head of Romaine or iceberg lettuce (for cups)

Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Cooking Surface: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and let it warm for a minute.

Cook the Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet. Use a spatula to break it apart. Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over the meat. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.

Assemble the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard until well combined. This will be your special sauce.

Prepare the Lettuce Cups: Carefully separate the leaves from the Romaine or iceberg lettuce head, trying to keep them intact. These will serve as your cups.

Assemble Each Cup: Take one lettuce leaf and add a portion of the cooked beef mixture. Top it generously with shredded cheddar cheese, diced avocado, cherry tomatoes, and pickles. Drizzle with the special sauce you made.

Garnish and Serve: Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley or cilantro for an added touch. Readjust toppings according to your preference and serve immediately.

Enjoy Your Creation: Gather your loved ones and enjoy your low-carb cheeseburger lettuce cups while they’re fresh and delicious!
