Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, combine the lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended. Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they’re evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Preheat the Grill/Pan: If you're grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a skillet, heat it over medium-high heat and add a splash of olive oil.

Cook the Shrimp: Remove the shrimp from the marinade, allowing excess sauce to drip off. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque. Alternatively, if using a skillet, cook them in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.

Prepare the Glaze: After the shrimp are cooked, transfer them back to the bowl with the remaining marinade. Heat in the skillet for an additional minute, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and coat the shrimp.

Serve: Garnish the shrimp with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of citrus flavor. Enjoy your Lemon Glazed Shrimp with rice, pasta, or a fresh salad!
