Ingredients

4 Salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

2 tablespoons water (for optional thickening)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Season the salmon fillets on both sides with salt and pepper.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, Dijon mustard, and cornstarch (if using). Mix until well combined.

Sear the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully add the salmon fillets, skin side down, and sear for about 4-5 minutes or until the skin is crispy and golden. Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Create the Glaze: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and pour the honey garlic sauce into the pan. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch and water together in a small bowl, then stir it into the sauce and cook for another minute.

Glaze the Salmon: Return the cooked salmon back to the skillet, spooning the honey garlic sauce over each fillet. Allow it to cook for another minute or two, allowing the salmon to absorb the flavors of the sauce.

Serve: Transfer the glazed salmon to a serving dish. Drizzle any remaining sauce from the skillet over the top. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Enjoy! Serve your honey garlic glazed salmon hot with your favorite sides like steamed rice or sautéed vegetables.
