Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 head romaine lettuce, chopped

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup croutons (store-bought or homemade)

¼ cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate Chicken: In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk together until well mixed. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they’re completely covered. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or overnight for the best flavor).

Prepare for Frying: Once marinated, remove the chicken and allow any excess buttermilk to drip off. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, garlic powder, and paprika. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture until well coated.

Fry the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with enough oil to cover the bottom (about ½ inch deep). Once the oil is hot, carefully place the chicken in the skillet. Fry for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C). Remove and let rest on a paper towel-lined plate.

Prepare Salad Base: In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Toss lightly.

Slice Chicken: Once the chicken has cooled slightly, slice it into strips.

Assembly: Add the warm chicken strips on top of the salad. Drizzle Caesar dressing over the top and toss gently to combine. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese and add croutons on top for that extra crunch.

Garnish and Serve: Transfer the salad to serving plates, garnish with fresh parsley, and enjoy your crispy Chicken Caesar salad!
