Healthy Greek Chicken Pita Wraps

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 whole wheat pita breads

1 cup cucumber, diced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

½ red onion, thinly sliced

1 cup baby spinach or mixed greens

½ cup feta cheese, crumbled

½ cup plain Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the olive oil, dried oregano, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts and ensure they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavor.

    Cook the Chicken: Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.

      Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and freshly chopped dill. Stir until well combined and set aside.

        Assemble the Wraps: Warm the whole wheat pita breads in a dry skillet for about 1 minute on each side or until just pliable. Place a generous amount of baby spinach or mixed greens in each pita, followed by sliced chicken, diced cucumbers, halved cherry tomatoes, and red onion. Top with crumbled feta cheese.

          Add the Sauce: Drizzle the tzatziki sauce generously over the fillings in each pita.
