Healthy Greek Chicken Pita Wraps

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 whole wheat pitas

1 cup cucumber, diced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped

1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/2 cup tzatziki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts, coating them evenly. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator).

    Cook the Chicken: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and juices run clear (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.

      Slice the Chicken: Once chicken is rested, slice it thinly.

        Prepare the Pita Wraps: Warm the whole wheat pitas on the grill for about 1 minute on each side until soft and warm.

          Assemble the Wraps: On each warmed pita, start by adding a base layer of romaine lettuce. Top with sliced grilled chicken, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onions, and crumbled feta cheese.

            Add Tzatziki Sauce: Drizzle a generous amount of tzatziki sauce over the top of the filled pita.
