Healthy Greek Chicken Pita Wraps

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste

4 whole wheat pita breads

1 cup Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon lemon juice

½ cup cucumber, diced

½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved

½ red onion, thinly sliced

½ cup crumbled feta cheese

Fresh parsley or dill, for garnish

Instructions
 

Marinate the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and coat them well in the marinade. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or ideally, refrigerate for a few hours for better flavor absorption.

    Cook the Chicken: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken breasts. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

      Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce: In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, diced cucumber, salt, and a pinch of pepper. Mix until well combined and set aside.

        Assemble the Wraps: Cut the pita breads in half to create pockets. Inside each pocket, layer sliced chicken, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, crumbled feta cheese, and fresh herbs. Add a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce on top.

          Garnish and Serve: Optionally, drizzle with a little extra olive oil or a squeeze of lemon juice. Garnish with parsley or dill and serve immediately.
