Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1/2 cup green chili peppers, diced (canned or fresh)

1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Slider buns (8-10 mini buns)

Optional toppings: avocado slices, jalapeño slices, sour cream, or lettuce

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, diced green chili peppers, chopped red onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cilantro. Mix well using clean hands or a spatula until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Form the Patties: Divide the turkey mixture into equal portions (for smaller sliders, aim for about 8–10 patties). Shape each portion into a small, flat patty about 1 inch thick.

Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the patties (in batches, if necessary to avoid overcrowding) and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are nicely golden brown.

Assemble the Sliders: Toast the slider buns lightly on the grill or in a separate pan. Once the turkey patties are cooked, place each patty on the bottom half of a toasted slider bun. Add desired toppings like avocado, jalapeño slices, sour cream, or lettuce, then crown with the top half of the bun.

Serve: Arrange the sliders on a platter, serve immediately, and enjoy your spicy and flavorful Green Chili Turkey Sliders!
