Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for coating)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine the warm milk, granulated sugar, and active dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture along with the melted butter.

Mix the Dough: Stir the ingredients together until a shaggy dough forms. Then, transfer it to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-6 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prep the Garlic Butter: While the dough rises, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and black pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.

Form the Pull Apart Balls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and tear off small pieces (about a tablespoon each). Dip each piece into the garlic butter mixture to coat them.

Layer with Cheese: In a greased bundt pan or a round cake pan, layer the dough pieces with sprinkles of Parmesan cheese in between each layer.

Second Rise: Cover the pan loosely with plastic wrap and let the layered dough rise for an additional 30 minutes, or until puffed and nearly doubled.

Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the dough has risen, place it in the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and brush the top with any remaining garlic butter. Allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a serving platter. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
