1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

Zest and juice of 2 limes

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 head of butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated

1 avocado, sliced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Optional: Sliced jalapeƱos for heat

Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lime zest, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes to soak in the flavors.

    Cook the Shrimp: Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until pink and opaque, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side, ensuring they are cooked through. Remove from heat.

      Prepare the Lettuce Wraps: While the shrimp is cooking, prepare your lettuce leaves. Gently wash and separate the leaves of the butter or iceberg lettuce, and pat them dry.

        Assemble the Wraps: On each lettuce leaf, add a few pieces of cooked shrimp, a couple of avocado slices, a few cherry tomato halves, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. For an extra kick, add sliced jalapeƱos, if desired.

          Serve: Arrange the filled lettuce wraps on a platter and serve immediately. Enjoy fresh with lime wedges on the side to squeeze over your wraps!
