1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

For the Tostadas:

6 corn tortillas

1 cup refried beans (canned or homemade)

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 large ripe avocado, sliced

1 cup diced tomatoes

½ cup crumbled queso fresco (or feta)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Shrimp:

    - In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

      - Add the minced garlic and chili flakes, sautéing until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).

        - Add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

          - Drizzle with fresh lime juice and remove from heat.

            Prepare the Tostadas:

              - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the corn tortillas on a baking sheet and bake for about 5-7 minutes or until they are crispy and golden.

                - Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.

                  Assemble the Tostadas:

                    - Spread a layer of refried beans on each crispy tortilla.
