Frozen Yogurt Cherry Almond Swirls

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1 cup frozen cherries (pitted)

1/2 cup almond milk

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)

1 teaspoon almond extract

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup sliced almonds (toasted if desired)

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare Cherry Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the frozen cherries and half of the honey or maple syrup. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the cherries break down and form a sauce. Make sure to stir occasionally. Remove from heat and let it cool.

    Mix Yogurt Base: In a large bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, almond milk, remaining honey or maple syrup, almond extract, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

      Layering: Once the cherry sauce has cooled to room temperature, take about half of the yogurt mixture and spread it in an even layer at the bottom of a 9x5-inch loaf pan or a similar-sized container.

        Add Cherry Sauce: Drizzle half of the cherry sauce over the yogurt layer. Use a knife or a skewer to gently swirl the cherry sauce into the yogurt layer for a marbled effect.

          Repeat Layers: Spread the remaining yogurt mixture on top of the cherry swirl layer and then drizzle the remaining cherry sauce over it. Again, use a knife or skewer to create swirls.

            Add Crunch: Sprinkle the sliced almonds and mini chocolate chips (if using) evenly over the top of the yogurt.

              Freeze: Cover the pan with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until fully set. For best results, freeze overnight.

                Serving: When ready to serve, remove from the freezer and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes at room temperature for easier slicing. Scoop out pieces and enjoy your Cherry Almond Dream Swirl!
