Ingredients

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 cup fresh basil leaves, packed

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

1/2 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)

2 cups ice cubes

1 cup cold water

Lemon slices and basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries: In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries with honey or agave syrup. Blend until smooth and well-combined. If you prefer a chunkier texture, pulse blend until desired consistency is met.

Add the Basil: Add the fresh basil leaves to the strawberry mixture and blend again until the basil is finely chopped and evenly distributed. The lush green color should blend beautifully with the vibrant red strawberries.

Combine with Lemon Juice: Pour in the fresh lemon juice and cold water into the blender. Blend once more until everything is fully incorporated. Taste and adjust sweetness with more honey/agave if desired.

Freeze the Mixture: Pour the liquid mixture into a shallow dish or baking pan. Freeze for about 3-4 hours, or until solid. Stir with a fork every hour to create a flaky texture.

Blend and Serve: Once frozen, scrape the mixture with a fork to fluff it up. Add the fluffy strawberry-basil lemonade back into the blender with the ice cubes. Blend until the mixture is slushy and smooth.

Garnish and Enjoy: Pour the frozen strawberry basil lemonade into glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and additional fresh basil leaves for an elegant touch. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing burst of flavors!
