Ingredients

1 ripe cantaloupe, cut into 1-inch cubes

1 ripe honeydew melon, cut into 1-inch cubes

8 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto

1 cup fresh basil leaves

1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

12 skewers (6-inch)

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by cutting the cantaloupe and honeydew melons into 1-inch cubes. Make sure the pieces are as uniform as possible for even assembly and presentation. Rinse and dry the fresh basil leaves.

Assemble the Skewers: Take a skewer and thread one cube of cantaloupe onto it, followed by a basil leaf (folded if large), then add a slice of prosciutto. Next, add a cube of honeydew, another basil leaf, and finish with another piece of prosciutto. Repeat until you have created all your skewers, alternating between melons as desired.

Season the Skewers: Once assembled, lightly sprinkle the skewers with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to enhance the flavors.

Drizzle with Balsamic Glaze: Arrange the skewers on a serving platter and drizzle with balsamic glaze for an extra burst of flavor. This step not only adds sweetness but also a beautiful presentation.

Serve and Enjoy: Chill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes before serving, if desired. These fresh melon prosciutto skewers are perfect for a summer appetizer or a lovely picnic treat. Enjoy!
