Ingredients

1 loaf of fresh pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried parsley

½ teaspoon sea salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape, about ½ inch thick.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, oregano, parsley, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Coat the Dough: Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the rolled-out pizza dough. Ensure even coverage to enhance flavor throughout the breadsticks.

Cut the Breadsticks: Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the dough into strips, about 1 inch wide. For a fun twist, you can twist each strip into a spiral before placing them on the baking sheet.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered dough strips, followed by an even distribution of shredded mozzarella cheese. For added spice, sprinkle red pepper flakes over the top if desired.

Bake: Place the prepared breadsticks on the lined baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Cut any remaining connections between the breadsticks if necessary and serve warm with marinara sauce or your choice of dipping sauce.
