Ingredients

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)

Olive oil spray or cooking oil for frying

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Rinse the green beans under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Ensure they are completely dry to achieve maximum crispiness.

In a shallow dish, combine the flour with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs thoroughly.

In another shallow dish, mix the panko breadcrumbs with the minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt to flavor the crumbs.

Dip each green bean in the flour mixture, ensuring it’s coated completely. Shake off any excess flour.

Next, dip the floured green bean into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off.

Finally, coat the green bean in the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs stick well. Repeat with all green beans.

Spread the coated green beans evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Spray the tops lightly with olive oil spray to promote crispiness.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, flipping the green beans halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty burst of flavor.
