Ingredients

24 square wonton wrappers

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or cooking spray)

1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

1 teaspoon paprika (for added color)

Fresh herbs for garnish (e.g., cilantro or green onions, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and let it heat while you prepare the wontons.

Prepare the Wonton Wrappers: Take the wonton wrappers out of the package and cut them in half diagonally to create triangular shapes. This will yield 48 pieces.

Season the Wonton Chips: In a mixing bowl, add the wonton triangles. Drizzle the vegetable oil over the wrappers and sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika (if using). Toss gently until all wrappers are evenly coated.

Arrange in the Air Fryer: Place a single layer of the seasoned wonton triangles in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are not overlapping to allow for even air circulation.

Air Fry the Chips: Cook the wontons for 4-5 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Shake the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crisping.

Cool and Garnish: Once cooked, transfer the wonton chips to a cooling rack to maintain their crispiness. If desired, sprinkle with additional salt or garnish with fresh herbs.

Serve: Enjoy your crispy air-fried wonton chips as a tasty snack on their own, or serve with your favorite dipping sauces such as sweet chili sauce, salsa, or guacamole.
