Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup canned chili (with or without beans, your choice)

1/4 cup finely chopped onions

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon cumin

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean, flat surface. Pinch the seams together to create a single sheet if using a roll type, or separate the triangles as indicated in the package.

Mix the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the canned chili, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onions, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.

Assemble the Bites: Using a tablespoon, place a generous portion of the chili-cheese mixture at the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll the crescent roll dough tightly from the wide end to the point, encasing the filling.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the rolled crescent bites seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure there is space between each bite for them to expand as they bake.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro for a fresh touch. Serve warm as a delicious snack or appetizer.
