Ingredients

1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed

¼ cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ginger powder (or fresh grated ginger)

½ teaspoon sesame oil

2 tablespoons cornstarch

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), garlic powder, ginger powder, and sesame oil until combined.

Cut the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes, about 1-inch pieces.

Marinate: Add the salmon cubes to the marinade, making sure each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature (or up to an hour in the refrigerator for more flavor).

Coat with Cornstarch: After marinating, sprinkle the cornstarch over the salmon cubes and gently toss to ensure each bite is evenly coated. This will help achieve that crispy texture when air-fried.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Arrange the Salmon: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush it with a bit of oil. Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding to allow for even cooking.

Air Fry: Cook the salmon bites in the preheated air fryer for 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking for even crispiness. Keep an eye on them; you’re looking for a nice golden-brown color.

Garnish: Once cooked, remove the salmon bites from the air fryer. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for extra flavor and presentation.

Serve: Serve the crispy teriyaki salmon bites warm, with extra teriyaki sauce or your choice of dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy!
