Ingredients

1 lb (450g) salmon fillet, skinless and boneless

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

2 green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon into bite-sized cubes (about 1-inch pieces) and place them in a mixing bowl.

Marinate: Pour in the teriyaki sauce and sesame oil, ensuring all the salmon pieces are evenly coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15-20 minutes to let the flavors infuse.

Coat the Salmon: In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). After marinating, add the salmon pieces to the cornstarch mixture and coat them well, shaking off any excess.

Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. This step helps to achieve that perfect crispiness.

Air Fry: Place the coated salmon bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through until the salmon bites are golden brown and crispy.

Serve: Once done, remove the salmon bites from the air fryer and place them on a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and sprinkle sesame seeds on top to add a delightful crunch.

Enjoy: Serve your crispy teriyaki salmon bites warm with any leftover teriyaki sauce for dipping!
