Ingredients

1 lb (450g) fresh salmon fillet, skinless and boneless

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon honey (optional for sweetness)

2 teaspoons sesame oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon ginger powder (or 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced)

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon:

    - Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes, approximately 1-inch pieces. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

      Marinate:

        - In a bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper. Add the salmon cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor.

          Prepare for Air Frying:

            - In a separate shallow dish, mix the panko breadcrumbs with sesame seeds. Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing the excess to drip off. Roll each piece of salmon in the panko mixture, pressing down lightly to adhere the breadcrumbs.

              Air Frying:

                - Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

                  - Arrange the coated salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure maximum crispiness. You may need to do this in batches.

                    Cook:

                      - Air fry the salmon bites for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through. The salmon should be golden brown and crispy on the outside and cooked to your desired doneness on the inside.

                        Serve:

                          - Once done, carefully remove the salmon bites from the air fryer. Serve them hot, garnished with chopped green onions and an extra drizzle of teriyaki sauce if desired.
