Ingredients

1 cup chocolate cake mix

1 cup vanilla cake mix

1 cup strawberry cake mix

3 large eggs

1 cup milk (divided into 1/3 cup for each cake mix)

1 cup butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Fresh strawberries and chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Prepare Cake Batter: In three separate bowls, combine 1 cup of each cake mix (chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry) with 1 large egg and 1/3 cup of milk. Mix until well combined and smooth.

Layer the Batter: Pour the chocolate cake batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Next, gently spoon the vanilla cake batter on top of the chocolate layer, followed by the strawberry batter. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.

Bake the Cake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare the Frosting: While the cake is cooling, make the frosting. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fluffy. Slowly add the heavy whipping cream to achieve a smooth frosting consistency.

Assemble the Treats: Once the cake has cooled, cut it into bite-sized squares or rectangles. Spread a layer of the frosting on top of each piece.

Garnish: Top each treat with a slice of fresh strawberry and a sprinkle of chocolate shavings for a delightful finish.

Serve and Enjoy: Arrange the Neapolitan cake treats on a serving platter. They’re perfect for parties, picnics, or a sweet snack at home!
